FTP Access ?
Are the files hosted at gamespace available via FTP ? I notice that files.gamespace.net.au has an FTP server running but authentication is required. Gamespace account does not work.
Id much prefer FTP over HTTP
Thanks
Stu

Re: FTP Access ?
The netspace ftp has linux distro's and some podcasts on it. I cant see anything else sorry to tell ya. Cant really see why you need ftp for the gamespace files but each to there own i suppose.

Re: FTP Access ?
The ftp.netspace.net.au server is not a part of Gamespace, as has already been said, it's mainly used to host Linux distributions, large (local) files for download speed test and a few other bits-n-pieces, the only common link between the Gamespace service and the ftp server is they both services ran by Netspace. Hope that helps clarify.

Why do you want to mirror the gamespace file content?

How Do I copy files Directly from ftp to another ftp, without downloading them to my pc ? i have 2 ftp accounts, and i wanna copy backup files from one ftp to another, but there are many files, and downloading them to my pc then uploading them to the second ftp would take alot of time, therefor i wanna know how to copy files directly from ftp to another.

Most FTP servers, certainly public assessable ones, will likely have such extended functionality disabled (ie, not allow remote connect to another FTP server). Essentially, (assuming you have download/storage rights to the destination), you'd connect/login to the destination, then open a connection to the source, then use mget to pull the files. Check with help <cmd> to get syntax for the specific FTP server (can be slight variances), but don't be surprised if doesn't work.
Failing that, if you want a piece of software to help automate synchronsing between two FTP servers, can recommend a free-ware program called SyncBack Freeware V3.2.19.0, which I use to sync "My Documents" directory with a USB drive, for uploading my web site updates between my local hard-drive and the web server provider's FTP server, and copying whole partitions between two hard-drives on a local PC. It could easily be configured to sync between two different FTP locations (yes, would still need to download/upload to/from local PC, but can be fully automated, even scheduled to occur at some non-peak times so could just let it run when you're AFK.

2 reasons.
So I have the file before I know I actively have to go out and get it. Take WOW patches for instance, big files that I would have to wait for when I realise I need to update. By mirroring that content from Gamespace I get free traffic as a NetSpace Client and already have it local on my machine when I need to run an update.
I REALLY hate http downloads that have a dynamic generated URL and having to browse and click on each one, its a waste of time when I can do it easier other ways.
So can I access it by FTP or not, that was my very simple question that has not been answered yet.

No you didn't... You answered a different question. He wasn't asking about the Netspace FTP (which is what you answered about), he asked about Gamespace's file hosting...
