Gamespace Season 9 Finals Series - ARK are the Champions!!!!
The finals for Season #9 will encompass 1 division comprising 8 teams. The first round of finals will commence on Tuesday 13th October 2009.
Finals- All matches will be scheduled using the ladder system, apart from the Grand Final.
- The lower placed team for each match will offer 3 times and 3 maps, the First listed team will make a selection from the times and maps offered.
- Teams will have 24 hours to make their time and map selection once the choices have been made available to them.
- The higher placed team determines which side they will start on.
- Standard ladder conditions apply.
- As per ladder rules, BattleRecorder will be running for all finals matches and demo files are publicly available.
Grand Final- Each team will select 1 map for the Grand Final.
- 2 rounds on each map will be played under standard ladder conditions, totaling 4 rounds.
- Each team determines which side they start on first on the map they select.
- Once maps have been selected, the Grand Final server will be booked by Gamespace Referees and details provided to team captains via Private Message.
- As per ladder rules, BattleRecorder will be running for all finals matches and demo files are publicly available.
Communication- The primary source of all information for the finals shall be the Battlefield forums at forums.gamespace.net.au
- The Ladder Referees for the finals shall be Wizamc, and Shadowrance.
- Contact information for the Ladder Referees are available in their user profiles on the forums.
- Ladder Referees are generally available in via MSN, Xfire and/or Private Message in the forums.
- Ladder Referees will not communicate with other teams on your behalf, it is your responsibility to communicate directly with the other team for variations to dates/times of matches etc.
Scheduling of Finals- A schedule of rounds will be announced, all matches are to be completed within the given time periods.
- It is up to the teams to organise and complete the required matches during each round period.
- All matches will be scheduled using the ladder system, apart from the Grand Final.
- At the start of each round period the lower placed team is to offer the higher placed team 3 times and 3 maps via the ladder system.
- The higher placed team is to select a time and map in a timely manner to allow both teams to prepare adequately.
Shoutcasting- Experienced shoutcasters may be provided access to the finals to provide shoutcast services.
- Any Qualifying Round or Grand Final may be shoutcast without prior notice. Participation in the Finals Series provides consent for matches to be shoutcasted. It is best to assume that a shoutcast will be happening.
- Freecam will be enabled in the server when a match is being covered.
- All shoutcasters are identified with the 'CASTER' prefix before their name.
Division #1 shall comprise a total of 8 teams. At the completion of the ladder, a list of teams shall be made based on the eligibility criteria below. The highest ranked 8 teams from this list shall be the 8 teams that make up the Division #1 finals. It should be noted that this may not necessarily be the top 8 teams on the ladder as some teams may not meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria- Have a minimum number of 6 players listed in the team.
- Have participated in a minimum of 6 matches throughout the season.
- Have played against at least 2 different teams in the last month of the ladder (not including voids).
Round #1- Round #1 will commence Monday 13th October and conclude Monday 26th October.
- Teams ranked 3rd, 4th, 7th and 8th must offer 3 times and 3 maps via the ladder system before 10pm on Wednesday 14th October.
- Teams ranked 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th must select a time and map before 10pm on Thursday 15th October.
- It is up to the teams competing to ensure that they organise and complete the required matches during each round period via the ladder system. If a team fails to meet a deadline the match may be forfeited.
Round #2- Round #2 will commence Tuesday 27th October and conclude Monday 2nd November.
- The losing teams from Matches 1 and 4 must offer 3 times and 3 maps to the winning teams from matches 2 and 3 via the ladder system before 10pm on Tuesday 27th October.
- The winning teams from matches 2 and 3 must select a time and map before 10pm on Wednesday 28th October.
- It is up to the teams competing to ensure that they organise and complete the required matches during each round period via the ladder system. If a team fails to meet a deadline the match may be forfeited.
Semi-Finals- Semi-Finals will commence Tuesday 3rd November and conclude Monday 9th November.
- The winning teams from matches 5 and 6 must offer 3 times and 3 maps to the winning teams from matches 1 and 4 via the ladder system before 10pm on Tuesday 3rd November.
- The winning teams from Matches 1 and 4 must select a time and map before 10pm on Wednesday 4th November.
- It is up to the teams competing to ensure that they organise and complete the required matches during each round period via the ladder system. If a team fails to meet a deadline the match may be forfeited.
Grand Final- The Grand Final will take place at 8.30pm on Sunday 15th November.
- The winning teams from SF1 and SF2 must post in the forums stating their map selection for the Grand Final.
- The map selection from each team must be posted by 10pm on Wednesday 11th November.
- The Grand Final server will be booked by Gamespace and details provided by Private Message to Team Captains.
- If teams are involved in other ladder finals or competitions and are unable to participate on the nominated night, the match may be re-scheduled with agreement from the other team provided that the match is completed before Sunday 8th November.

Congratulation to The Army of Reckless Killers on being the champions for Gamespace Season 9 Battlefield 2 Ladder.
I would like to take his opportunity to thank all the teams that were involved in the league this season, and continue to make it what it is supposed to be, a whole heap of fun and enjoyable. You all make the referees job so much easier 
Hang around for the Sportsman Final. It should be a ripper.
I will also add that next season is in the line and will be starting before Christmas so that you can satisfy the itch . I will be in contact with the captains of this season to have a little group discussion on the next season, so stay tuned.
