EA Sports MMA game signs more big names

If you are into Mixed Martial Arts or any combat sport, you are in for a treat. With MMA getting bigger each year, so are the games. The basis is simple, you choose what martial arts/techniques you can use best against you opponent while trying to be well rounded fighter who can stand up and kick/punch, clinch, wrestle and doing ground work with submissions or more striking. The UFC, which is the biggest promotion in the world, has just released its game called UFC 2009 Undisputed earlier this year, now giant EA wants in on the action. Basically in EA’s game, it is involving anyone who is popular on the scene to sign up, regardless of the promotion they fight for. They have already signed up Fedor Emelianenko, Bas Rutten and Randy Couture, who are arguably some of the biggest names ever in the sport. Add in Frank Shamrock who is a 5 time former UFC Middleweight champion and you have a contender with some big names being put into the game. With a big list of names from all over, it seems to have pissed off the UFC who has threatened removal from the UFC if they sign up for the opposition’s game. Their game itself has sold over 3 million units, but only has fighters in their promotion. The game itself is due for release in 2010 sometime and will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Are you interested in MMA? Will this be a good game to get?
